This Celtic Silver brooch has been made from 3mm diameter Sterling Silver and the pin hand forged from 2mm diameter Silver.

Penannular brooches date back to the Iron age and have been worn throughout the Celtic, Saxon and Viking periods, Ireland and Scotland finds date around the 700 to 900. Often given as offerings to the waters, lakes and buried in places of importance to the people who live closely with the land.
